My work has an extremely restrictive firewall that actually gets in the way of my work. I’m wondering how I can connect to the internet connection at my house from work. I bring my labtop to work and leave my desktop at home. Is there a way to connect to the internet through my home desktop computer from my work labtop computer? Thank you.
I have remote desktop and know how to use it. However, my husband needs the computer at home while I’m at work because he works from home. So I can’t use remote desktop because it takes over that computer and he can’t use it then. I just need the network, I don’t need the files on the computer. Is there a way to do this?

My niece has a desktop computer. She has no home phone(uses cricket cell) and cable is way to expensive to get internet access. What are her other options to connect to the internet? I have heard of some kind of cards but she has a older refurbished computer. If these cards are usable on a desktop will her older computer be compatible?

I have a wireless router through which I access internet on my Personal Desktop Computer. I log in to my office laptop on the office domain. I want to transfer files directly from my desktop to my laptop. Is it possible through the wireless connection since both my laptop and desktop access internet through the same router.

I have two laptops, two computers and an XBOX 360 all connected to the same router. The 360 and one of the desktop computers are wired to the router. The two laptops and other desktop computer are connected via wireless.
Usually I open up to separate MSN accounts on the two different computers I want to transfer the files between and then send them that way but I was wondering if there was actually a "proper" way to transfer files over my home network?

I have regular SMTP/POP3 based email account. How do I do if I want to download my email messages both to an email client on my home desktop computer AND to an email client on my laptop? The way it is now, using Outlook Express, the emails just download to one one of the computer, even thought I have configured my mail account on both. So what to do?
